Rutledge fires 62 at Canadian PGA Seniors’ Championship
MILTON, Ont. -- Victoria's Jim Rutledge had a whopping 10-shot lead after two rounds of the Canadian PGA Seniors' Championship after firing a course-record 10-under-par 62 on Wednesday. Rutledge had eight birdies and an eagle on the par-5 16th hole at RattleSnake Point Golf Club. He shot a 30 on the front nine and a 32 on the back to improve to 15-under-par 129. "I got off to a great start today after making birdies on four of the first six holes and that seemed to get me off to the races," Rutledge said. Dave Barr of Kelowna, B.C., was alone in second place after a 5-under 67. Daryl Stubbs of South Delta, B.C., and Rod Spittle of Niagara Falls, Ont., were 11 strokes off the lead.
